I gotta say I didn't meet many stupid or dumb ppl yet, most ppl except for one guy were great guys, the other guy just thought he was THE leader of the group and flamed us for attacking groups of 2-3 charrs being like "WE NEEWD ATACTICS" the whole time. Many ppl helped me out so I'm doing my best to help out others aswell!

I believe the problem is most don't know the questions you ask, another problem is the spam. I read everything that pops up in my chat window in case I may be able to help someone else out. Another problem is those iwth "all chat off".

After playing runescape and putting up with idiots, noobs, etc. i don't even bother to read the chat in towns. If you've ever played runescape you know what I'm talking about.

nothing can be as bad as the wow community. I remember i met maybe two people i didn't already know in RL that were actually helpfull. You'd ask a question in general chat and everyone turned into a comedian..
hopefully this one won't get too bad.

Ita been said that most of the people in the earlyer areas are probaly just as cluless about the answer as the original person who asked. Give it some time let people find out the answer.

i don't type much in game. if you are not on teamspeak server with me then you are probably going to think I am the strong silent type. i figure that if somebody really wants to know the answer to a question they will alt/tab and come here.

I also tend to ignore town chat enless I see a name I know or a guild mem. The best way to find the answers to your questions is to post them on a froum or ask you guild-mates. Also I recrute from our website NOT IN game. The best way to get good members it to send them to your site to fill out an app. That way you can find out a little about the person before you invite them.

I heard you yesterday in town complaining about know one wanting to help. Fact of the matter is, I help AS often as I can. If it is convient for me, I will do whatever you need. Group to complete a quest? sure. Directions? Sure. Just chill out. There are now as many as 173 districts. Someone will help you out.
But the game is fairly simple IMO. Just read the quest and follow the green arrow on the map.

Psst, sometimes I whisper the answer to the player, which may explain why some questions appear to be left unanswered.

I try to answer and help if I can. I've had several people ask to repay me for my help. I tell them the my payment is for them to help someone else. "Pay it forward" This helps build a good community.

I'm getting really frustrated about this and wanted to see if other ppl had this problem as well, or am I jus having a bad "In Game Day"
Oh, and on a sidenote, what is up with no1 wanting to join a Guild that has only a few members yet, but it's almost impossible to get new members for that exact reason
Sorry for the rant, jus needed to get it out

Wow, I've never experienced that. But I have been in since the Beta. During presearing I stayed around a helped out new players.
In Post Searing, I still go back to Ascalon City to help out new players on thier quests and help explain things. That's how people treated me when I first started, thats how I treat others.
Sorry you experienced this. I think the other poster is right. Most people who were in beta or preordered are in a totaly different part of the map now and only have contact with players of similar levels. in the futher reaches of the map. They don't have need to return to ascalon city.
I'd be hapy to hook up sometime to help you on quests:

I've dealt with my fair share of "problem children" as well.
Here are my main gripes:
(1) People not using called targets. Everyone haphazardly attacking anything in the group. The order is healers, bosses, casters people!
(2) Group members running ahead of the leader, and the rest of the group following them! I often start up groups and am in the leader position, and being a monk primary healer if someone strays from me it's occasionally to their ultimate undoing. I definitely don't mind letting someone else lead, but there needs to be order.
I think it all comes down to a lack of gaming discipline and/or experience. People not knowing the importance of working as a unit, of playing their roles.
Given, these are pickup groups obviously, but honestly: most guilds are no better. These same people join guilds and this doesn't make them any better. Nor does it follow that people without a guild are utter lackwits.
Even realising the lack, I'd have to say that most people can get by without the skills that are required in a more demanding style of *ORPG (like a persistant MMORPG w/ heavy death penalties); the game just doesn't demand it.

Nice comments. I'm also a primary monk. I've been luck in my pick up teams. Everyone seems to know their role and play it perfectly. I stay back and heal. Secondary Mes I can use spells like Backslash to cause damage when the enemy uses energy.
You're right about having order. But there are times when you can just explore. But the same tactics apply.

Every MMO is full of idiots and jerks. This one has a fair number as well. If you want to play this type of game, there is nowhere to get away from that. I have played most of the major MMO titles and they all are full of nitwits.

This game is not an MMORPG...It is an MOCPG. And as for the WoW community, most of them are b.net kids so don't mind them =)

You're going to get that in ANY community. No one is going to hold your hand the whole time.
I did play in the betas but it was mostly PVP. I just now reach Yak's bend for the first time and I'm loving the game. For the most part I haven't had any questions.
The best thing to do, instead of asking what most would consider a stupid question, is to hit "ALT + TAB" on your computer or minimize GW and go on to GuildWarsGurus.com and do a search for your question. I bet it's probably been answered about 10 times here.
That's exactly what I did with a few of my questions. I wish I had known not to select a secondary profession so early. =p
